Privacy, plainly.

What we collect

• Your account.A username, your email address, and a password. Passwords are stored hashed — we can't read them.
• Your home location.If you set one in Settings, we save that address and its coordinates to your account so the app can show how far away each drop is, and so the setting survives a reinstall. It comes from an address you type in — the app never reads your device's GPS.
• Chat messages. Messages you post in community chat, along with your username and a timestamp.
• Push tokens.If you turn on notifications, we store your device's push token so we can deliver drop alerts.
• Your activity. Alerts you set and bottles you log are kept in your account history.

How we use it

Only to run the app: showing drops and distances near your home location, sending the alerts you asked for, and powering community chat. That's the whole list.

What we never do

• No ads, ever.
• We don't sell, rent, or share your data for marketing.
• The app contains no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

Services we rely on

Bourbon Drop runs on a small set of infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf: Railway (application hosting and database), S3-compatible object storage (photos of bottles, stores, and events), Google Places & Maps (address search and maps), Expo (push notification delivery), and the Apple App Store / Google Play (app distribution).

Retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Want it gone? Email us via the contact page and we'll delete your account and the data that goes with it.

Age

Bourbon Drop is about bourbon. It's intended for people 21 and older.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
